Costume History
Truman State Women’s Ultimate was founded in 2004. Prior to an actual women’s team a number of notable females played on JujiTSU, and among these women were Elyse, Karen, Shell, Dirty D, Maya, and Abby who are credited with having set forth the idea to name a women’s team TSUnami in order to incorporate TSU into the ultimate team name after much brainstorming and name-changing of the original Truman State ultimate team had occurred.
Christina Wirkus and Maya Suffern are credited with having founded the actual women’s team in the fall of 2004. Notable Dates in TSUnami history include their first ever tournament as a women’s team Elephantitis 2004 in Grinnell, IA. As a brand new club, this team did not win a single game in their first ever tournament. However, with only one tournament under their belt and a little more experience for the newer players, they clenched the entire B Bracket of the second tournament they had ever played together.
In the spring of 2006, only a little more than one year after the team was founded, the TSUnami women went undefeated in their Sectional Tournament and placed 3rd in the South Region. (Not bad for their first ever showing at the Regional tournament). With a little more experience under their belts and new talent joining the team for years to come, there is sure to be bright future for women's ultimate at Truman State.

Fall 2006 Tournament Results
The Fall 2006 semester was a success for TSUnami, participating in the championship match of every tournament they attended. TSUnami placed 2nd at both Elephantitis and Glory Days and captured 1st in both Harvest Moon and Missouri Loves Company. In only the third year of the program, much is anticipated for the Spring 2007 semester as TSUnami continues to work hard and drive forward.
